5 hunny!!!

.500

.500

.500

They are .500!!!

This is great, its been so long since this has happened, and I am entirely too fired up about it. I still don't know what to think, are they good? Are they just lucky? O r is it somewhere in between. I really don't know. They look good. But it may be a mirage, they may be trying to suck us in get our hopes up and then turn around and squash us just like they often do. I remain cautiously optimistic. I am having fun watching them again. I keep getting this feeling that hey we can win this with every game. I remember that feeling from 01 where every night I was like ya we have a better than 50-50 shot at winning this.

Tonight its Felix and a chance to go 1 up. Who better to take this large step than the cornerstone of your future. Let’s go kid get it done!

  1. I know what you mean Big Daddy. I have confidence every night. Except when Washburn pitches against Brandon Webb. I was chalking up last night as a for sure loss yet they pulled it off. 3 games back too!

    Keep it up M's.

I euphoria when the M's had a .500 season for the very first time--Jim Lefevbre was teh manager - and thought we were so over being happy about .500 but this is a big deal and hopefully the guys will keep on rollion'. years like 2001 don't ever come along and our fans got spoiled. Confidence can be contagiouis --go M's --Refuse To Lose !!!

  3. I've missed you guys. Been taking care of my dad, who is sick... been having computer problems, etc. Anyway, the computer is fixed.

Looks like the Mariners are fixed too, at least for the time being. At the beginning of the year I thought they might go 80-82. Seeing how good they can be when things click somewhat, I now have to think they might be good for 85-90 wins. This is fantastic!

I think it will be interesting to see how much the front office tinkers with the ballclub around July 31. If the Mariners still find themselves in a race (and I don't see why they shouldn't) do you think Bavasi et al will try to beef up the ballclub for a strong pennant run? Eddie might be pretty attractive to a number of other clubs who need bullpen help... ?

Sure that may sound premature, but I am absolutely loving this. Ichiro has been amazing, Beltre and Sexson are hitting and they are driving in runs, Felix has been gradually improving, Moyer has been very good, and I love the game ending group of relievers (Sherrill, Soriano and Putz). It has been wonderful to see Meche continue to make progress. Johjima seems to be a huge improvement over who we had catching last season, and Chaves seems to be doing a good job. Raul has been very good to have in the lineup, and Jurassic Carl hasn't had any outbursts to speak of. And aren't the kids great? Lopez and Betancourt are my favorite Mariners! They're young, they hustle, they're positive, and they are good!! Reed's bat even looks like it might be coming around lately.

After the last two seasons, this is fun and refreshing!!
